We know that Kia is looking to offer its all-electric crossover, the Kia Niro EV this year but what we do not know is when Kia plans to release it.

Although Kia has not announced anything yet, a member of Inside EVs forums suggested that the Niro EV will be released this winter. This came after some people discovered that Kia has a page dedicated to the Niro EV on their local website. The page also suggested that the vehicle will be available in the winter of 2018 for select markets.

Of course, the “select market” could mean anything at this point so we will still have to wait for Kia to release more details first. The Kia Niro will be powered by a 39.2 kWh battery pack that should offer about 149miles and 201hp. A more powerful 64kWh battery will also be offered. That battery will allow the vehicle to run for 236miles.
