2019 Mazda CX-9 Finally Earns Itself The Top Safety Pick + Rating

 -

The Mazda CX-9 was initially given a Top Safety Pick rating by IIHS which is not bad but it is not the best that the agency has to offer. Well, after a few upgrades, the Mazda CX-9 was finally given the Top Safety Pick _ rating.

One of the reasons why the vehicle could not get the top safety rating was because of the headlights as the older models were only given a “Poor” or ” Acceptable” rating which is not enough. After the update, now both the Signature and grand Turing trim will have top ratings for their headlights.

Other factors that help secure the safety ratings for them are the forward collision prevention system which will be offered as optional and is able to stop the vehicle at speeds up to 25mph.

Rivals that were also given the Top Safety Pick + ratings include the Kia Telluride, Hyundai Santa Fe, Subaru Ascent and Hyundai Palisade.
