With so many automakers now focusing on electrically powered vehicles, it made sense that Porsche would want to offer an electric option on their popular Porsche Cayenne as well. While we might not see a fully electric version so soon, there will be a Cayenne E-Hybrid plug-in soon. Here is what we know about the hybrid plug-in SUV right now.
The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine that will be paired with an electric motor to deliver about 455hp and 516lb ft of torque. The vehicle would be able to go from 0-60mph in 4.7seconds with a top speed of 157mph. The EPA numbers are still a mystery right now.
The new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid will come with six drive modes, E-Power, Hybrid Auto, E-Hold, E-Charge, Sport and Sport Plus. It will be fitted with a set of 22inch wheels along with the Sport Chrono package and Porsche Active Suspension Management.
The new 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid will be arriving early next year with the base model retailing for $80,950.
