Besides getting a minor upgrade for 2019, the Subaru Crosstrek will also be coming in with a new Plug-In option.
The Subaru Crosstrek now comes with only one engine option, the 2.0-liter engine but that will be changing soon as Subaru confirms that they will be offering the plug-in hybrid option this year. The details are scarce right now but it is believed that the engine will be similar to what the Prius Prime is offering right now.
On top of the new engine option, the 2019 model will also be getting a few upgrades. The base model will remain the same but customers will not have the option to added o the EyeSight package which will come with safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, pre-collision braking and more. The optional package will cost $845. The base model will also cost $100 more than the previous model.
The Premium model will get an upgraded Starlink infotainment system which will come with a 6.5inch display screen and a new CD player. The Limited on the other change will get a CVT transmission with Hill Descent Control and X-Mode. The Starlink infotainment system will also be fitted with an 8inch display screen
