The current Cupra Ateca was released three years ago which means it is about the time it gets an update and from the looks of it, that is exactly what Cupra plans on doing.
The Cupra Ateca was spotted getting tested on the track and from what we can see, the vehicle will be getting some upgrades in the front. The image showed the front of the vehicle getting covered up suggesting that some changes were made. Most people would predict that it will be getting an updated grille, new bumper and maybe a little design upgrade.
The Ateca will still be coming with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be offering about 296hp and 295lb ft of torque which will come mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
No word on when the current version will be offered but seeing as the changes are nothing too major, we should not have to wait too long for it.
