Automaker is on the race to outsmart each other when it comes to autonomous driving and according to Mercedes, they will soon be offering a Level 3 autonomous driving vehicle.

According to Mercedes, the new S-Class will come fitted with the Level 3 system which will allow for ‘eyes-off’ driving. They added that they will only have more details to offer in a few months time and for now, there are still some issues but that is their target for the new S-CLass model.

Of course, Mercedes is not the only one looking to advance further in the autonomous driving race as automakers like Tesla has also claimed that they already have the hardware necessary for a Level 5 autonomy while Audi also launches a Level 3 Audi A8 model a few years ago.

Besides the new tech, the S-Class is also expected to come in with some major exterior design upgrades.
