We knew that the arrival of the Chevrolet Volt would do Chevrolet a lot of good but we were also surprised by how well the vehicle actually performed but it looks like its time might be coming to an end.

According to some of the latest reports, General Motors might be looking to kill off the Chevrolet Volt. It is believed that GM feel like the Volt’s technology is outdated now and that they need to focus on the newer and upcoming electric vehicles.

AutoForecast Solution reported that the vehicle’s production might stop in 2022 so that GM has the plant work on the other electric cars and crossover. GM did make it clear that their goal is to release 20 new electric and fuel-cell vehicle by 2023 and this would move them in that direction.

Other models that might be one the chopping block includes the Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet Impala, and the Cadillac CT6. All these are being produced by the same plant as the Volt right now.
