While not everybody will experience it, some Apple iPhone 6s will fail to turn on as Apple admitted that there is a component in the device can that go bad in some of the devices. To help its customers, Apple is now offering to replace the component for free with a new program.
While Apple did not really explain why this is happening, users can now head to their site to check if the serial number of their phone is on the list or not. If it is, Apple will help replace the problematic component for free.
Affected models will be those that were produced from October 2018 to August 2019 which is towards the end of the phone’s life closer to when Apple is looking to stop production.
At this point, it does not look like Apple will be offering us any more detail on the issue but at least customers will get the issue resolved.
