We were already looking forward to seeing the BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe model at the LA Auto Show this year but it looks like BMW could not wait for that as they release the official photos for the new model.

The images showed the BMW 2-Series with is aggressive headlights and huge air intakes in the front. We could also see the signature long greenhouse design along with the wide taillights in the back.

Powering the BMW 2-Series will be the 2.0 liter turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine that will be offering about 228hp and 258lb ft of torque. The engine will allow the vehicle to go from 0-60mph in 6 seconds. Then there is the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that will be offering about 301hp and 332lb ft of torque. With this engine, the vehicle will only need 4.7 seconds to go from 0-60mph and has a top speed of 155mph and that is before the M Performance Package is added.

Images of the interior showed the standard BMW interior design that will be applied to the 2-Series as well. No price has been announced at this point.
