We might not be close to the unveiling of the Chevrolet C8 Corvette ZR1 yet but that does not mean people will stop talking about it.

The latest report from Motor Trend suggests that the vehicle could be coming in with a 900hp engine thanks to a perforamcne-oriented hybrid powertrain. The website state that the detail came from a senior official at GM.

According to the post, the new ZR1 will be gitted with the new ZO6 engine with 4.2 or 5.5-liter displacement but did not reveal what hybrid motor the engine will be fitted with.

For now, we can only take this news with a pinch of salt as Chevrolet has not announced or confirmed anything yet at this point which is only to be expected as it will probably be a few years before we actually see anything.
