The spotlight may be on the newly released Tesla Model 3 but this is not stopping GM from producing more EVs in the future. GM is still pending to hit full throttle with sales of the Chevrolet Bolt but they don’t plan to linger on the EV hatchback.

It was revealed earlier today that GM has moved on to develop an EV crossover that is based on the Bolt. The crossover will adopt the same architecture used on the Bolt but it will get modifications for greater driving range.

What surprised us is that the EV crossover will be wearing Buick’s badge instead of Chevrolet. We never saw it coming but it is very simple to understand this decision. Buick is one of the leading brands in the crossover segment hence making a Buick EV crossover will give GM greater sales potential.

The details are not out yet but we can expect more spills on the Buick EV crossover later this year. Will the Buick EV crossover be able to impress?
