There was a time when it looked like only Chevrolet’s Camaro and the Ford Mustang were battling it out while the Dodge Challenger trailed below but that is not the case anymore.
FCA has reported that Dodge actually manages to sell 18,031 Challengers in the third quarter which is about a 21% increase from last year beating out both Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro.
It was reported that Ford only sold 16,823 units and had a 12.3% drop in sales while Chevrolet only sold 12,275 units of the Camaro with a reported drop of 15% in sales.
Of course, the Ford Mustang is still holding tight to the title of selling the most muscle car this year with 55,365 units sold since the beginning of 2019 so the Challenger will still have some way to go if they want to beat that but it is still pretty impressive since the Challenger has been around for years now without many upgrades.
