FCA To Recall Dodge Durango & Jeep Grand Cherokee Over Engine Issues

 -

FCA will have to issue a recall to bring back some of their Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee after it was reported that the engine could stall.

According to the report, the fuel pump relay inside the Totally Integrated Power Module could fail which would then led to the vehicle stalling without any warning.

This was brought up by the dealers which prompted them to investigate and discovered that the silicon deposits could interrupt the electrical current which could be the cause of the stalling.

The affected models will include the 2011 to 2013 Dodge Durangos assembled between the 23rd of August 2010 to the 19th of August 2013 and the 2011 – 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee assembled from the 24th of February 2010 until the 19th of January 2013.

They do not have a remedy for the issue yet but are working on it.
