Ford Electric F-150 Patent Shows Four Motors

There is still a lot that we do not know of the upcoming electric Ford F-150 but the latest patent seems to have revealed what the vehicle will be powered with.

According to the patent found by the Mach-E Club forum member, the EV truck could be fitted with four motors. The papers showed a body-on-frame platform that will come with cross-members and a bespoke bottom plate to securely house the batteries.

The design of the platform will also allow lighter main rails to be added for some extra strength. In the drawing, its hosed one motor in the front and one more in the back but it also describe that there could be one motor for each wheel

For now, we can only wait and see. The EV Ford F-150 is expected to arrive early 2021.
