GM will be offering a new Minivan which will be wearing the Hong Guang nameplate. If you do not know, the nameplate is pretty popular in China and has sold about 4.5 million vehicles so far.
The new minivan will be called the Hong Guang Plus and will measure at 4722mm long, 1840mm wide and 1810mm tall with a 2800mm wheelbase. According to the report, the exterior design is inspired by the Chinese traditional ceremonial vessel. The vehicle will be offered with four color option including Polar White, Jet Black, Celestine Blue, and Sterling Silver.
The designers kept things pretty clean on the inside with minimal buttons and a huge display. Under the hood will be a 1.5-liter turbocharged four engine that will be offering about 148hp and 181lb ft of torque. It will also be mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
GM is not the only one rushing to place a minivan into the Chinese market as Volkswagen has also announced its Volkswagen Viloren which will also be arriving soon.
