The Google Assistant has been improving with time and now, a new added feature just proves that Google has been paying attention to what the fans want.

The Assistant can now interact with your SMS text messages. All you need to do is to say particular commands, such as “Show me my messages” and “Do I have any messages?”

While the latter command prompt will show you any new messages, the “Show me my message” prompt will show you all your read and unread messages as well as display a “Read messages” pop-up on your screen with a list of all your conversations.

Each of this conversation comes with a “Reply” button and tapping this will bring you to your default SMS app.

This particular feature has long been integrated in Google Now and it’s great that Google has brought it over into the Google Assistant.

To make this news even sweeter, Assistant is now on its way to all Marshmallow and Nougat devices! Have you gotten yours yet?
