The Google Assistant has been rolling out for two weeks now but a new report from Android Police states that tablets will not be seeing this new feature anytime soon.

“The Assistant will be available on Android Marshmallow and Nougat phones with Google Play Services, this does not include tablets,” reads the statement sent to Android Police.

As upsetting as this may sound, we can’t exactly blame Google as promotional materials have only ever mentioned the feature arriving to smartphones.

The tech giant has yet to disclose any explanation behind this decision or even a possible date of when it may arrive on tablets.

Well, virtual assistants doesn’t really make much sense on tablets which are often left at home, unlike the smartphone which is taken everywhere. That said, it is still a very disappointing news to all tablet users.

Do you think Google should have made the Google Assistant compatible with tablets, as well?
