Initially, when Google unleashed the Nexus 6, most folks didn’t take much notice of it as they simply preferred devices that didn’t surpass the 5.7-inch mark – save for phablets, of course.
There were a couple of other devices that measured in a similar size to the Nexus 6, but none were well-designed models. All they were was large models and that’s it.
The Nexus 6 was a real game changer; despite being about 6.0-inches, it didn’t need both hands to use nor did it need a stylus, unlike the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
Even so, Google saw the Nexus 6 as a one-time effort and didn’t see the urge to produce better variants of it. The Nexus 6P and the Pixel XL that arrived after the Nexus 6 were essentially different devices, disappointing many fans.
However, Google is currently asking for fan’s help to offer feedback on the design of it current models. Seeing that the Nexus 6 is one of the most popular device from the Nexus series, it’s likely that it would be the benchmark for future Pixel models.
Well, this may be a faint hint that Google may be bringing back the Nexus 6 after all.
