If you are looking for something fun to drive around in, the Honda Civic Type R certainly fits that box but of course, you will also need to pay to have that kind of fun. However, new reports are suggesting that fans might be able to pay less in the near future.

According to The Truth About Cars, there might be a cheaper option coming our way. This was suggested in the NHTSA fillings as Honda registered two Type Rs. In the fillings, it states that both models will be powered by the K20C1 turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that will be mated with a six-speed manual but one of the models will be getting less equipment.

That means the other model could come without features like LED lights, climate control, premium audio and more. It also suggests that this might be a cheaper version since it will come with fewer features.
Of course, nobody knows what this is about now and Honda has not announced anything yet so take it all with a pinch of salt.
