During CES 2017, Huawei’s Honor division lifted the veils off of the Honor 6x. Despite having pretty good features and a reasonable price tag, this device had only arrived with Android Marshmallow and EMUI 4.1.

As both of these software are outdated, many folks did not like this, considering that this is a newly launched device. However, Honor did announced during CES that the Honor 6x would receive an update to Android Nougat and EMUI 5 in Q2 2017.

And now, Huawei has sent out an email announcing that the device will be receiving these updates in March – that’s just a month away! This is especially surprising seeing that they are released a quarter ahead of what was initially planned.

The Honor 6x, priced at only $249, is a great device but it does have its own flaws. Being updates to the Android Nougat and EMUI 5 will definitely bring about better performance as well as enhanced features.
