FCA will be recalling their Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango after it was discovered that there might be some issue that will cause the vehicle to stall.
According to the report, the faulty electrical connection due to silicon deposits on the contact points of fuel pump relays could interrupt the electrical current on these models which could then prevent the engine from starting or affect the engine which would cause it to stall.
The recall will affect about 700,000 vehicles worldwide. Models that will be affected will be those from 2011 to 2013. Some of the affected models were already recalled a few years ago due to the fuel pump relay issue.
Out of the 700k affected, 528,500 units will be from the US. 34,700 will be from Canada and 18,100 from Mexico. The rest of the affected models are from outside of NA.
