We have seen how Marvel has pulled off its star ensemble The Avengers, spawning a sequel that is arguably more successful than the first. It’s now the time for DC to show us what it can do with Justice League, a team set in a much grimmer world than the colorful Marvel Universe.
The cast has been announced and filming is scheduled to begin on April 11, but where is Green Lantern?
It is safe to say that the Green Lantern standalone film tanked – it was really awful that it would be a crime for Deadpool not to jest at it. But Hal Jordan is one of the core founding members of the Justice League, so it’s a little odd that he is a no-show.
The rest of the key cast have been confirmed. Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) will be accompanied by Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). As per IMDB, Queen Mera, Aquaman’s wife, is rumored to be played Amber Heard.
