LG’s latest smartphone will not be launched in the United States in March, instead it will be launched in April. According to Venture Beat, the LG G6 will go on sale stateside on April 7.
If this turns out to be true, this would mean that the LG G6 will be available a few weeks prior to the Samsung Galaxy S8, which is slated to arrive on April 21.
Last year’s LG G5 was a modular smartphone but this doesn’t seem likely with the G6. LG has already dropped some hints on the device by revealing that it’ll be featuring a 5.7-inch display with a surprising resolution of 1440×2880 pixels.
The LG G6 will be powered by Qualcomm’s capable Snapdragon 821 processor and packs on Android 7.0 Nougat right out-of-the-box.
Aside that, the LG G6 is said to be dust and water resistant and it will be sporting a non-removable battery that the company has promised won’t overheat.
LG will be revealing its latest device at the MWC 2017, on February 26. Expect to see this device coming with a slightly higher price tag than the LG G5.
