Next year will be a major year for Microsoft and their Xbox fans as it is believed that it will be the year when we get to learn about the new Xbox that they have been working on.

When it comes to consoles, it is generally believed that Sony has a bigger advantage over Microsoft but according to Matt Booty from Xbox Game Studios, the upcoming Scarlett will have an advantage because of its backward compatibility feature.

Because of that, the console will have the largest launch lineup of any Xbox console as players will have access to games from Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the original Xbox. In fact, those that owned the Xbox One now can rest assured that they can continue to purchase the game on the current console while they wait for the next-gen console as they will be able to move those forward when they do get the new console.

While Sony does have something similar, with PlayStation, you will need to buy the game again if you do upgrade.
