Besides giving the BMW i3s a performance boost but it also gave the vehicle an upgraded traction control system which helped improve the overall drive of the vehicle and now it looks like the other BMW and Mini will also be getting the same kind of upgrades.

The benefit of having the new traction control system is that the vehicle is able to pull away from a stop faster thanks to the instantaneous torque offered by the electric motor. The system will also help improve the stability of the vehicle thanks to the regenerative braking. The improvement can clearly be noticed on the BMW i3s

Of course, this does not mean that engines without an electric engine won’t benefit from the new tech. According to BMW, they are also working on offering the traction control system for internal combustion as well.

Overall, we should see the tech applied to most of the future BMW and Mini models.
