Potholes are becoming more of an issue in the UK and not only is it becoming inconvenient to road users, it also increases the chance of vehicles getting damaged by potholes when they run into one making Ford upcoming upgrade for the Ford Focus a very welcoming one.

According to the reports, Ford is looking to fit their new Ford Focus with the new pothole detection technology which will sense when the wheel is about to fall into a pothole and adjust the suspension to limit how far the tires will drop.

This means that the wheel won’t fall too low and won’t strike the side that harshly when exiting the pothole. The rear tires will also use the same information to adjust accordingly.

The new Ford Focus which will be arriving this summer will come fitted with the new tech will come as part of the Continuously Controlled Damping system which controls and monitors the vehicle to adjust the suspension in response.
