The current Mitsubishi Outlander has been around for years now and most people believe that it is about time the vehicle was given an update. It looks like Mitsubishi feels the same, as well as the Outlander prototype, was spotted getting tested out in the open.
The prototype that was spotted actually had very little disguise on and from the looks of it, the updated model will be getting some changes based on the Engelberg Tourer concept that we saw this year.
In the front is the broad, metallic grille similar to the one the Eclipse Cross was given. More changes were made to the sides and back to match the concept.
Not only will Mitsubishi be carrying over the design but it is believed that we will also see the powertrain get carried over. The concept was powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.4 liter inline 4 engine and is said to have a range of 43miles.
The prototype looks very ready so we might not be that far from the unveiling of the actual production model.
