It is pretty common for Pokemon Go to bring back some of the Legendary Pokemons from time to time so that new players and old players that missed out of it the first time will get another chance to capture the Legendary Pokemon.

This time, Niantic will be bringing back Giratina, the Legendary Ghost/Dragon-type Pokemon from Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. The Pokemon will be added to the game on the 23rd of September and will be appearing in raid battles until the 17th of October.

If you need another reason to take on Giratina, Niantic also added the Shiny version fo the Pokemon this time. Niantic also announces that there will also be a Legendary Raid Hour happening on the 25th of September that will go on from 6 pm to 7 pm local time and players will get to see more Giratina at gyms.
