Talks about a Range Rover Velar in the works started last year when the vehicle was spotted in Nurburgring last year and now, new reports are saying that the vehicle was actually a Range Rover Velar SVR. Here is what the vehicle might offer when it arrives.

It is believed that the Range Rover Velar SVR will come powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine that will be offering about 542hp and 502lb ft of torque which means it will be offering less than the Sport SVR model but since the Velar SVR will also be shedding off a few pounds, the reduce horsepower might not even be that noticeable.

According to the reports, the Range Rover Velar will lose about 300 pounds. The Velar SVR will most likely be getting an upgraded adaptive dampers, suspension setting, larger brakes, lighter wheels, updated eight-speed transmission and more.

On the outside, we expect to see some changes to the front intakes, rear diffuser, and exhaust outlets. The new Velar SVR should be available later this year.
