The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 arrived back in 2015 with a 5.7-inch display size while being powered by Exynos 7420 Octa paired to a 4GB RAM. The device sported a 16MP rear-facing camera along with a 5MP selfie-snapper.

The Note 5 arrived with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop right out-of-the-box and now, it’s good news for all Note 5 users as Samsung has just kicked off the Nougat update to this phablet.

This is verified by many Galaxy Note 5 users who expressed their joy on Reddit threads when they saw that the Android 7.0 update had hit their device.

Some users who had already installed the latest upgrade described that they have noticed that their battery performance seems to have improved. However, some Galaxy S6 users have chimed in the thread to vent their jealousy as they have yet to see the update on their device.

That said, keep in mind that these Galaxy Note 5 users are subscribed to Verizon so there is still no confirmation if the update has arrived to other carriers.
