Soon all the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users around the world will be enjoying Nougat – however, that may be the last major update for the devices. Initially, the Nexus 6 looked like a guaranteed model for the version 7.1.2 but that was only up till Google decided to omit the device.

Since the Nougat update will mark the devices’ second major software update, Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users will have no other choice aside from burying their hopes for Android 8.0.

If you’re one who’s tired of waiting for the Nougat update, you could always opt for a custom ROM. Watch the video below if you’re interested in jumping into version 7.1.1 via Lineage OS, exclusive for SM-G920F and SM-G925F models.

So, how long do you think the wait for the Android 7.0 Nougat will be for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users, considering that the update has been put on hold till next month for a fraction of Galaxy S7 users?
