Samsung confirmed a couple of days back that a few of its devices will soon be receiving the Nougat treatment. This includes the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 range, A3, A8 and a couple of its tablets.

The company had said that these devices will begin seeing the Nougat update “within the first half of this year.” However, this is still quite vague and doesn’t offer an exact date to anticipate the latest update.

Having said that, seeing that the standard model of the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920) has been recently certified on Nougat by the Wi-Fi Alliance, it looks like the Nougat party will kick off soon for the Galaxy S6 family.

Galaxy S6 users would understandably be worried about when Android Nougat would be arriving for them. This is because the arrival of Android 6.0 Marshmallow before this was delayed numerous times.

But, since Samsung has been quick to update the Galaxy S7 to Nougat, Galaxy S6 users have no reason to worry.
