The Galaxy S8 duo is Samsung’s latest flagship devices and this turned out to be one of the most anticipated pair of devices following the whole Note 7 debacle – the smartphone world was all eyes to see how the Seoul-based manufacturer would make up for its avoidable mistake.
The Samsung Galaxy S8, sporting a 5.8-inch Infinity Super AMOLED curved display, came equipped with 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage. This model featured a 12MP back camera along with an 8MP selfie-snapper.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S8+ measures slightly larger with its 6.2-inch Infinity Super AMOLED curved display. This model runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 mated to a 4GB RAM and comes with 64GB internal memory. The Samsung device features a 12MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP secondary unit.
The Galaxy S8 duo featured the fingerprint sensor at the rear of their bodies, a heart rate sensor and they are IP68 water and dust proof certified. That’s not all – they even came with Bluetooth 5.0!
As impressive as these specs sound, most folks seems to have a problem with how the fingerprint sensor has been placed. Some fans took to forum threads to vent on their dislike toward the scanner.
It isn’t merely the fact that the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the rear; folks are having trouble locating the scanner as it is exactly like the camera and there’s no way to “feel” it.
However, some Samsung fans have voiced out that this isn’t exactly an issue as simply throwing on a case with the require cutout for camera, flash, and fingerprint scanner will help users easily locate the scanner without needing to flip the device over.
Well, purchasing a case is always an available option but not everyone will be keen on that, especially if they had picked the device in a specific color. That said, do you think Samsung may have messed up with the fingerprint scanner on its latest flagship duo?
