Last week, Sony had rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat to a couple of its Xperia devices. However, just a couple of days back the Japanese giant had withdrawn the update for its servers.

Some users were quick enough to catch the update before Sony halted the roll out but it seems that these folks have been facing unusual battery drain issue following their upgrade to the Android 7.0 Nougat.

It’s been a week yet there is still no word from Sony on the reason behind this withdrawal. Recently, the company posted that its engineers are “still working on the inconsistencies in Nougat for Z5, Z3+ and Z4 Tablet.”

Sony states that its “priority is user experience” so hopefully the company will be able to rectify this issue as soon as possible otherwise Sony Xperia Z5, along with Z3+ and Z4 Tablet, users will be subjected to a longer wait for the latest update.

However, don’t lose hope entirely as we’re pretty sure that Sony would resume the roll out of Android 7.0 Nougat to all these Xperia devices soon.
