The Porsche Taycan Turbo S set the bar pretty high at Nurburgring but it looks like Tesla could be looking to beat them.
The Porsche Taycan Turbo S managed to complete the track in 7 minutes and 42 seconds but Elon Musk has now tweeted that they too will be taking their Model S to the Nurburgring track next week.
The vehicle was spotted doing some initial test and the model that spies believe was on the track was the Model S P100D model which is about to offer about 762hp and 723lb ft of torque. That is pretty close to what Porsche had to offer.
It also looks as though Porsche has made some changes to the vehicle like giving it a larger lower grille and wider fender flares. Of course, we do need to take note that the Porsche was tested in stock form.
It will be interesting to see how the Tesla Model S will perform on the track.
