Tesla has been talking about their Smart Summon feature for some time now so it was only natural that the whole world was looking at them when they officially release the update for the feature.

While some people showed the tech working as intended, there were others that pointed out some of the issues with the tech. Consumer Reports decided to test it out themselves and have come out to say that they think of it.

According to Consumer Reports, while it does work at times, it was also glitchy. Jake Fisher, the senior director even commented that it feels more like a scient experiment and that it is still a “work in progress”. He also added that he thinks that the feature was not tested fully and criticize Tesla for deploying it at this stage.

After all, the complains, NHTSA is also looking into the matter but has not come out with any conclusion so far.
