With automakers and countries now giving electric vehicles so much attention, it will only be a matter of time before petrol and diesel engine will get replaced by the greener electric vehicles and while it might take some time before we see that happen in some region, the looks like time could be running out for petrol and diesel models in Europe.
Denmark is now asking for the Europan Union to issue a phase-out plan for petrol and diesel vehicles. The proposal already has the backing of 10 other EU countries which is asking for the ban of sales at member state-level by 2030.
European Commission’s goal would be the make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 and Denmark is saying that they will have to do something to the transport sector to make that happen.
What do you think of this proposal from Denmark?
