It looks like electric cars will be where the auto industry will be heading in the future. As exciting as that sound, some people are still worried about the range of these vehicles. To combat that, Volkswagen has announced their plans to build more chargers throughout the US.

According to Volkswagen’s Electrify America unit, they will be installing 2000 chargers all over the US by June next year. Besides setting up 500 stations all over the country, they will also be installing these charging stations at more than 100 Walmart store location in 34 states.

The station will offer different connectors including 50kW, 150kW and 350kW which will benefit upcoming models like the Audi E-Tron and Porsche Mission E which can accept these high-speed chargers.

These stations will have four to 10 chargers and these should help further assure consumers that electric cars can be the way of the future.
