WhatsApp has just announced that their app can now be locked using your fingerprint on Android.

With the new safety feature in place, users do not have to worry about people accidentally see their message when they leave it on the table. WABetaInfo also added that we will be seeing more features coming with the beta version of the app.

The update for the app will be rolled out in stages so if you don’t it now, it could mean that your region will not be getting it that soon. Some poeple have pointed out that with iOS, they already have the Face ID and Touch ID so they are probably not too excited about the arrival of the new feature but for Android users, this could be something pretty useful in the beta.
